Google, Facebook look for GR people to deal with Russian government
MOSCOW, Jun 9 (PRIME) -- Google and Facebook have opened general relations vacancies in Russia, according to the companies’ statements seen by PRIME on Friday.
“We are looking for a superb policy communicator who can combine a passion for Internet services like Facebook with a deep knowledge of the political and regulatory dynamics in Russia,” Facebook said in a statement.
“Successful applicants will become part of a team that is dealing with some of the most interesting public policy challenges of our times, including privacy, safety and security, freedom of expression, the impact of the Internet on economic growth, and new opportunities for democratic engagement.”
The position will be based in Warsaw.
Google is looking for a similar professional to work with the company’s inter-function team in Russia and communicate with politicians directly.
Foreign companies working in Russia must respect the country’s laws, including the obligation to delete illegal content and store personal data of Russians on local servers.
